It is quite fascinating to see how things are interrelated, and no product is in isolation. Be it in nature, or in the world of tech. Let’s try to see this from the latter’s POV. Take a note around you, every mega company has an array of product offerings. All companies tries to do everything that touches its core product.

This I call “The Ecosystem Effect” - Building the ecosystem around your core product, so that your customers don’t have to look out for anything else.

Take Apple for example. The superstar product for Apple is its iPhone and MacBooks.

But look at the product lineup. iPad, HeadPhone, EarBuds, iWatch, and so much more. Apple has literally everything that can be connected to the iPhone.
